Important Factors In Muscle Development

The Three Most Important Factors In Muscle Development

In order to get that lean muscle you always wanted, there are only three factors to pay attention to. If you master all these, you will be on your way to a better looking, healthier and bigger you.

1. Train hard and intensively

If you want big muscles fast, the most important thing is to train hard. But it doesn't mean you have to load the machines with maximum weights and hurt yourself trying to lift it. However, if it's only muscle you are after, this strategy may work. You will get more muscle mass, but will lack in all other aspects. It's better to keep the weights at manageable limits and then lift them until you can't any more. The best exercises for building muscle are dead lifts, squats, barebell curls and bench presses.

2. Proper diet

Now that your muscle has started growing thanks to exercises, keep it growing by eating the right foods. In fact, up to 80% of your success depends on what you eat. Make sure to include lean proteins in each of your meals. Also, you need enough calories to keep your body in a good nitrogen balance which is essential for muscle growth. Skip most saturated fats but keep good fats still in your diet. Omega-3 or Omega-6 fatty acids are best for you. Eat smaller meals but frequently to make sure your muscles get nutrients all day long. And last but not least, drink lots of water.

3. Plenty of rest

You can only add muscle mass if you allow your muscles enough time to recover from workouts, especially if you are working out intensively and several hours at a time. If you work out more than once a day, try to get a good rest in between workouts. Also, sleep at least 7-8 hours at night to let your muscles and the rest of your body recuperate and restore its proper functions.

Of course, there are other factors as well, like living a healthy lifestyle and having the right mindset and genetics, these three are still the most important.
